Fr Barry Cairns was born in New Zealand in 1931. After studying to be a Columban missionary in Australia, he went to Japan in 1955 after ordination. After 11 years in parish work in Japan he spent the next 13 years on the staff of the Columban seminary in Sydney before he returned to Japan in 1983. He still serves in a small parish in Yokohama City, until today.
バリー・ケンズ神父は1931年、ニュージーランドに生まれました。
オーストラリアでコルムバン宣教師としての研修をおえたあと 1955年に司祭叙階、日本へ赴きました。日本での11年間の教区活動の後、シドニーのコルムバン神学校で13年間勤務し、1983年に再び日本へ戻りました。そして現在も私たちの教会で奉仕を続けていらっしゃいます。
