聖書： エゼキエル 47：1-12 詩編84 1コリント 3：9-１7 ヨハネ 2:13-22
ラテラノはローマにある丘です。西暦324年、この丘の上に教会が建てられました。この教会は「世界のすべての教会の母」と呼ばれ、その主任司祭は教皇自身です。
今日の祝祭において重要なのは建物そのものではなく、教会は全世界の共同体の一致の象徴であるということです。聖書や典礼で「教会」という言葉を使うとき、その意味は建物そのものではなく、そこに集まる共同体（人間）です。
そんな背景を踏まえて、私たちの新子安のコミュニティについて考えてみましょう！
ここで、私のこの教会のミサでの経験をお話ししたいと思います。特に日曜日には、私は皆さんの姿を見ながら、実際には、皆さんの心を感じています。2階のミサが映し出されたスクリーンの前にいる1階の皆さんの姿は見えなくても、1階の皆さんとの一致を感じます。目の前の席に座っている皆さんの姿を見ると、目の前の皆さんとの一体感を感じます。一緒に祈る中で、このことが励みになっています。皆さんも同じように感じていただければと思います。
もう一つの個人的な経験は、国際ミサです。同じミサで中国語、インドネシア語、日本語の言語を聞くことは、私たち皆が一つのイエスと結ばれていることを強調するものです。教会は世界中で一致しています。
さらにもう一つ個人的な経験があります。私は、毎月最終火曜日には、山手教会に通っています。午前11時、横浜教区の司祭たちが司教様と共にミサを捧げます。これは、司祭と共同体の一致のしるしです。神奈川、静岡、長野、山梨の司祭たちがミサの中でイエスと一つになります。そして、私たちも互いに（死さえも）一つになります。新子安教会の私たちは皆、祈りでイエスと一つになります。イエスはこう言われます。「二人または三人がわたしの名によって集まるところには、わたしもその中にいるのである。」（マタイ18：20）
なぜ私たちは日曜日にミサのために集まるのでしょうか。特別な方法で、私たちは神の家、つまり「祈りの家」に入るのです。ですから、私たちは皆、自分自身の願いのために、他の人々のために、日本のために、そして全世界のために共に祈ります。私たちは平和を必要としています。ですから、世界の指導者たちを導いてくださるよう神に願い求めましょう。ミサではイエスと共に食事をします。「主の食卓に招かれた者は幸い。」 イエスと共に食事をすることは、温かいきずなを持つことを意味します。私たち人間は、幸福のために、そして人間として、イエスに従う者として成長するために、他者とのふれあいを必要としています。ミサで共に祈るとき、私たちは人生の意味ある道を歩むための勇気と力、そして導きを得ます。聖書朗読と聖体拝領を通して、イエスは優しく語りかけてくださいます。そして、イエスご自身を私たちの心に迎え入れます。ですから、日曜日のミサに義務感ではなく、喜びと希望をもって共に祈り、一週間の仕事と人生を神に捧げましょう。私たちの教会で行われる日曜日の共同体の祈りは、私たちが復活した神、イエスを自分の家で迎える助けとなります。私たちの神、イエスは、教会（神殿）から川のように四方八方に恵みを注いでくださいます。（エゼキエル、第一朗読）

Lateran is a hill in Rome. In AD324 a church was built on this hill. This church is called ‘the mother of all churches in the world’. Its parish priest is the Pope himself. In today’s feast it is not the building that is important, the important point is the symbol of unity of communities in the whole world. When we use the word ‘church’ in Scripture or Liturgy, the meaning is not the building but the community who gather in that building.
With that background in mind, let us think of our community in Shinkoyasu!
Here I share my own experience of Mass in our church here. On Sunday especially I see you all, actually I feel you all. Because even if I cannot see those on the 1st floor in front of the screen projection of Mass on the 2nd floor, I feel at one with you. I live alone, so seeing the community in the pews, I feel a unity with you. This gives me encouragement as we pray together. I hope you can feel the same way.
Another personal experience is our International Mass. To hear Chinese, Indonesian and Japanese languages in the same Mass emphasizes that we all be long to one Jesus. The Church has a unity worldwide.
Another personal experience: on the last Tuesday of each month, I go to Yamate church. At 11am the priests who work in Yokohama diocese celebrate Mass together with our Bishop as a sign of unity, both of priests and communities. Priests from Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Nagano and Yamanashi-ken are united with Jesus in the Mass. And we are united to each other – their perishes too. We in Shinkoyasu are all united in prayer with Jesus who says: “Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I am in the midst.” (Matthew 18:20)
Why do we all gather on Sunday for Mass? In a special way we enter the house of God, which is a ‘house of prayer’. So, we all pray together – for our own intentions, for others, for Japan and for the whole world. We need peace – so let us ask God to guide world leaders. We at Mass have a meal with Jesus. ‘Happy are they who are invited to the table of the Lord’. Having a meal with Jesus means having a warm relationship. We human need contact with others for our happiness and as a maturing influence both as humans and as followers of Jesus. At Mass as we pray together, we get courage, strength and guidance to walk the path of life with meaning. We hear what Jesus is telling us so kindly in the Scripture readings and in Holy Communion. We welcome Jesus himself into our hearts. So let us not come to Mass on Sundays with a sense of obligation, but with joy and expectancy when we pray together, we offer God our week’s work and life. The community prayer of Sunday in our church will help us to meet Jesus, our Risen God, in our own home, Jesus, our God, pours out his gifts from church(temple) like rivers flowing in all directions.
