聖書朗読：ハバククの預言1：2-4 詩篇95 テモテへの手紙（2）1：6-14 ルカ17：5-10
【聖テレジア祭のミサ】 聖書朗読：知恵の書4：7-15 詩編119 マタイ18：1-4
第27主日の聖書朗読は、私達の神への祈りと、その祈りに対する神の態度について語っています。
神は私達を人間として創造されました。人間ですから、私達には弱さがあり、時には落ち込みます。私達の優しい神様は、私達のことをよく理解しておられます。神は私達を愛しておられます。神は私達をありのままに受け入れて下さいます。
神様は私達が祈りの中で、飾らないで、ありのままに神の元に近づくことを望んでおられます。
時に私達は、神様が私達のことを忘れてしまったように感じるかも知れません。助けと癒しを求める私達の祈りが、神様に聞き入れられていないように思います。そして私達は、神様に対して怒りを感じます。神様に面と向かって、私達の怒りをぶつけましょう。- 私達の正直な祈りは、神様が望まれている祈りです。
今日の第一朗読で、ハバククは神様に不平を言います。大事なこと：これは、ありのままの祈りです。ハバククは祈ります。「主よ、わたしが助けを求めて叫んでいるのに、いつまで、あなたは聞いて下さらないのか。」
神は、ハバククに（そして私達に）答えます。「あなたの祈りにたいする私の答えはゆっくりと来る。待っていなさい！わたしの答えは必ず来る。」
第二朗読の中で、パウロはティモテに（そして今日の私達に）助言を与えています。ティモテは気が弱い人でした。彼は自分に自信がありませんでした。パウロは彼の弱さを認め、聖霊から助けと力が与えられるように祈ります。そして、与えられた力を信頼し、イエスのために、他の人達に対しての証人となりなさい、彼らを神が愛しているということを熱心に告げなさい、と助言しています。
福音の中に、私達が使うことの出来る素晴らしい短い祈りがあります。
「主よ、私の信仰を強めて下さい。」
日本語では、このような短い祈りを「射祷（しゃとう）」と呼びます。短くて、的（まと） - イエスに向かって真っすぐに当たります。そのような祈りの矢を射てみましょう。
今日、新子安教会では、私達の共同体の守護聖人 - 幼きイエスの聖テレジアを祝います。
聖テレジアはイエスの言葉に大きな影響を受けました。「あなた方は小さい子どものようにならなければ、決して天の国に入ることはできない。」（マタイ18章3節）小さな子供達の最大の特徴は、両親に対する信頼です。そして、小さな子供は衣食住のため、完全に両親に頼ります。
聖テレジアは、神であるイエスを信頼し、自分の生涯を全てイエスの手に委ねました。彼女がするあらゆる出来事は、祈りであれ、洗濯であれ、全てイエス様のために、そして、イエス様と一緒に行いました。彼女は信頼していました。聖テレジアは自分の弱さを認め、そして友達であるイエス様から与えられる力に頼りました。（翻訳担当：M）

The Scripture readings for the 27th Sunday tells us about our prayer to God, and God’s attitude to that prayer.
God created us as humans. As humans we have weaknesses and at times fall. Our kind God understands us. God loves us. God accepts us as we are.
God wants us to come to him in prayer un-adorned, as-we-are.
At times we may feel as if God has forgotten us. Our prayer for help and healing seems to be not heard by God. So we feel angry at God. FACE GOD AND POUR OUT OUR ANGER – that is the way God wants our prayer to be honest.
In today’s first reading Habacuc complains to God. Note well : this is a as-I-am prayer. Habacuc prays: “O Lord, how long am I to cry for help. You do not listen.”
God replies to Habacuc (and us): “My reply to your prayer may come slowly. But wait! For my reply will come without fail.”
In the second Scripture reading, Poul gives Timothy (and us today) some advice. Timothy was timid. He lacked confidence in himself. Poul says to acknowledge that weakness, then ask for help and strength from the Holy Spirit. Then rely on that given strength, and so give witness for Jesus, to others. Badly tell others that God loves them.
In the Gospel we have a beautiful, short prayer that we can use.
“O Lord! Increase my faith.”
In Japanese we call such short prayers: ARROW PRAYER. Being short, they go straight to the target – Jesus. Try shooting such arrows.
Today in Shinkoyasu we celebrate the feast of the guardian saint of our community – St. Teresa of the child Jesus.
St. Teresa was greatly influenced by the words of Jesus: “Unless you become as little children, you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”(Matt. 18:3) The main trait of little children is their trust in their parents. Also a little child relies totally on the scene of parents.
St. Teresa trusted Jesus, her God, and put her whole life in the hands of Jesus. Everything she did, prayer or washing clothes, was done for and with Jesus. She trusted. But Teresa acknowledged her frailty and relied on the strength given by her friend, Jesus.
