わたしたち人間は 自分のほんとうの心を知れば知るほど 神様のあわれみを知ることができます
上野公園には、彫刻家ロダン作の「考える人」という大きな像があります。日本では、たくさんの人に人気があります。今週は、この考える人になって、深く考えてみましょう。
私たちの人生を振り返り、人生で起こった良い出来事を思い出してみましょう。良いことはすべて神様からの贈り物です。誰かから良い贈り物をもらったとき、「ありがとう」と言います。
私たちは神様に感謝しているでしょうか？ 考えてみてください！ミサの奉献文の冒頭で、「賛美と感謝を捧げることは、とうとい大切な務めです」と言いますよね。
日本語学校で私が最初に習った日本語は「ありがとう」でした。とても美しい言葉です。感謝は本当に美しいものです。恩知らずは悲しく自己中心的です。
神様が私たちに与えてくださったすべての贈り物に、私たちは感謝しているでしょうか？
— 私たちの人生、信仰、友人、自然の美しさ、私たちが食べる食べ物、基本的にすべては神様からの贈り物です。ちょっと立ち止まってみましょう！考え、思い出してみましょう。心を込めて、そして真剣に神様に感謝しましょう。
— 私たちは「ありがとう」と言うために言葉を使います。心からの言葉で、私たちの神に感謝を言いましょう。私たちの神は慈悲と思いやりに満ちています。私たちの神は私たちをとても愛しています。
私たち人間だけが、心と心にあるものを表現するために言葉を使います。動物はうなり声をあげたり、吠えたり、猫の様に鳴き声をあげたりするだけです！ でも、悲しいことに、私たちの言葉は時々人を傷つけることがあります。言葉で心が深く傷つくことがあります。
自分自身に問いかけてみましょう、「私は自分の言葉で誰かを傷つけていないだろうか？」 －侮辱や悪口などで。
でも、私たちの言葉は人の心を暖かくすることができます。これは特に感謝の言葉の場合です。自分自身に問いかけてください。
「私は自分のためにしてもらったことに感謝しているだろうか？ それとも、提供されたサービスや贈り物を当然のこととして受け止めているだろうか？
私たちは言葉を言うことを怠って罪を犯す可能性があります！ 感謝の言葉は口だけでなく、心から発することが大切です。
私は言葉を使って人を褒めたり、励ましたりしているでしょうか？誰かが悲しんでいるときに優しい言葉を使っているでしょうか？
今日のSNSには偽りの言葉がたくさんあります。自問してください。「私はSNSに影響されていないだろうか？」
私たちが話す言葉はとても重要です。キリストのように考え、キリストのように話し、キリストのように行動しましょう。
イエスは私たちにこう言っています。「他人を裁いてはいけません！」私たち人間は、他人の欠点、弱点、癖に、よく目が行きます。しかし、私たちは謙虚に、そして正直に、自分にも欠点、弱点、癖があることに気づいているでしょうか？完璧な人間などいません。イエスは、ユーモラスに表現しています：「私たちは誰かの目にある小さなおがくずは見えますが、自分の目にある大きな丸太は見えません。」
祈り：「イエスよ、私の言葉が平和をもたらしますように。」

In UENO Park there is a big statue, called “The Thinking Man” by the sculptor Rodin. It is popular in Japan. This week let us do some deep thinking.
Let us review our whole life and recall all the good happenings in our lives.
All good things are a gift from God. When we receive a good present from someone, we say “thank you”. Do we thank God? Think!At the beginning of the Offering sentence, we say: “To offer adoration and thanks is a valuable and important duty.”
In my Japanese language school, the first Japanese words I learnt were: “Thank you”. It is a most beautiful word. Gratitude is truly beautiful. Ingratitude is sad and self-centered.
Do we thank God for all his gifts to us?
— Our life, our faith, our friends, the beauty of nature, the food we eat fundamentally all are gift from God. Let us pause! Let us think and recall. Let us thank God with all our heart and meant.
— We use words to say ‘thank you’. Let us use our own words from the heart and say thank you to our God. Our God is full of mercy and compassion. Our God loves us very much.
Only we humans use words to express what is in our mind and heart. Animals only grunt, or bark or cat’s meon! Sadly our words can at times hurt people. Words can make a deep wound in the heart. Let us ask ourselves: “Have I hurt someone by my words?” Insults, bad-talk.
But our words can make a person feel warm in the heart. This is especially the case of words of gratitude. Ask ourselves: “Do I say thank you for things done for me? Or do I take the service or gift offered for granted? We can sin by words of omission! It is important that our words of gratitude come from our heart, and not just our lips.
Do I use words to praise, and encourage people? Do I use kind words when someone is sad?
Today on SNS there are many fake words. Ask: “Am I influenced by SNS?”
The words that we speak are very important. Let us think like Christ, talk like Christ, act like Christ.
Jesus tells us: “Do not judge others!” We humans can so often see the faults, weaknesses and peculiarities in others. But do we humbly and honestly realize that we too have faults, weaknesses and peculiarities? No human being is perfect. Jesus uses the humorous words. We see the tiny speck of saw dust in someone’s eye, but do not see the big log of wood in ou own eye.
Prayer: “Jesus may my words bring peace.”
